Zaouiya Derkaouia

This is one of the oldest zaouiyas of the city, it originated from the 12th century. <br><br>It was originally a Mausoleum for the saint Abou ali Cherichi (The crying man). The building was transferred to the followers of Moulay Ahmed Sqalli El Fassi who built the Zaouiya. Then the Zaouiya got transformed to Moulay El Arbi Derkaoui Followers in the 19th century.
